Caring for Nature

Nature is a foundation of our work and a constant source of inspiration.

Our commitment

Caring for nature means integrating environmental responsibility into the way we operate, through actions that are measured, documented, and continuously improved.

As a company working with precious materials, NIRU recognises the responsibility that comes with sourcing, transforming, and preserving natural resources. Protecting ecosystems and supporting the communities connected to our operations are part of this commitment.

Our approach covers climate action, renewable energy, responsible water management, waste reduction, and biodiversity protection.

2025. The Thailand manufacture achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification, followed by Sri Lanka in early 2026.

  • Climate actionReducing emissions across operations and the wider value chain.
  • Renewable energyIncreasing the use of renewable sources across our manufactures.
  • Water managementManaging water responsibly through efficient use and recovery practices.
  • Waste reductionImproving resource efficiency through reduction, recovery, and reuse.
  • BiodiversityProtecting natural ecosystems connected to our operations.

Protecting biodiversity requires collaboration across industries, organisations, and communities. As part of our biodiversity commitment, NIRU supports The Ocean Cleanup and its efforts to reduce plastic pollution in rivers and oceans.

Our contribution supports a mission focused on healthier aquatic ecosystems and the biodiversity they sustain, while recognising the close connection between the health of the natural world and human wellbeing.

This commitment reflects the spirit of Spreading Happiness: extending care for people to the environments and ecosystems that surround us. Through our support of The Ocean Cleanup, we look forward to contributing to a cleaner, healthier natural world where both nature and communities can thrive.
